CVW 14 that consists of VFA 115 (F/A-18E), VFA 22 (F/A-18F), VFA 25, VFA 113 (F/A-18C[N]), VAW 113 (E-2C NP), VAQ 139 (EA-6B), VRC 30 Det. 1 (C-2A) and HS 4 (SH-60F, HH-60H) is conducting air-supports for Operation Enduring Freedom.

  • Busan, Republic of Korea (Aug. 28, 2009) - U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) is in Busan, Republic of Korea (RoK) for the Ulchi Freedom Guardian (UFG) 2009.

    UFG is a combined/joint computer simulation driven exercise conducted annually demonstrating the interoperability capabilities between RoK and U.S. 7th fleet.

    * Blue Ridge arrived in the port Aug. 14.

  • Off the coast of Okinawa, Japan (Aug. 28, 2009) - USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62) conducts a routine training operations off the coast of Okinawa, Japan. George Washington Carrier Strike Group including Fitzgerald is on WestPac deployment.

    * GW CSG participated in Indonesia International Fleet Review Aug. 19.
